Metal fences and gates can rust over the years and the paint becomes peeling. But it’s easy to give an old gate or any other metal structure you have around the house a renovation. At Evolution Painting we can give a new life to any fading metal object.
Before we start, we make sure we put down a drop sheet and wear a dust mask and gloves. There are a number of ways that you can strip the paint off. We normally use a wire brush to scrape off all of the old paint. The other option is to use a cordless drill with a wire brush attachment, which is quicker and easier. Some times we need to use sandpaper and some elbow grease to remove the paint.
After a good preparation, the painting process can be executed by spray or brush. We prefer brushes for smooth and precise paint penetration with less unwanted spray marks.
